Its purpose is to find out what Bethel residents/taxpayers would like to see at the Recreation Center, and what they are willing and able to pay for and maintain.

Currently, the priority for the Town will be, in order: a new Town Garage (bond vote later this year), then the 3rd phase of the Water Project (bond vote late 2026/early 2027). Any project at the Recreation Center requiring a bond vote could be at least four years from now.

Yes No

Realistically, Bethel cannot finance additions to the Recreation Center solely through taxes. Money would have to come through fundraising — grants, private donations, and other sources — to offset the cost of most new projects.
